Fred Myers always has had a beautiful showroom. The original 301 W. Jefferson Street store use to be a grocery store. The offices, with windows in the rear, used to be the meat freezer. Fred Myers always offered the most inventory selection and had the largest advertising budget of any of the 28 competitors who have come and gone since Fred Myers began in 1953. Customer service with leading brand products have been the mark of Fred Myers. Don Brattain has been a giant in providing service as well as working with Fred Myers in most all phases of the business when the need required. Don has played a major role in the store's success while maintaining his own independent piano service business.
